LADY GaGa has caught the acting bug after filming her cameo role on the smash hit US TV show Gossip Girl. The Poker Face singer’s episode, titled The Last Days of Disco Stick, airs on The CW channel tonight (Monday, November 16) at 9pm EST.
“She sees acting as a natural progression in her career,” reveals a source close to Gaga. “One idea she has is for a rock opera which would be a huge big budget movie made to her own very unique ideas.
“But she is also keen on straight dramatic roles. She has the drive and confidence to make it big as an actress. It’s just a matter of finding time between her first love — music.”
GaGa, real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, recently revealed that she’s “discovered lots of things” about herself over the past year.
“The past year, it’s been unbelievable,” she said. “It’s been a phenomenal, inspiring experience.
“I love my fans so much, and more than anything, I discovered lots of things about myself that I didn’t know before through my fans. Because I was giving them so much in my shows.
“I have a very raw performance style and [I'm] leaving my heart on the stage every night, and they were giving me so much back in return that when the show was over, I wanted to write. I wanted to make music.”
